Storyline
Under-achieving loser Takemichi’s former love Hinata is killed. The day after he finds out, he falls off a train platform and wakes up ten years earlier – he has traveled back in time to high school, the awful period that set him on his under-achieving path. Living through it again, the only way to save Hinata, whom he finally finds in that terrible past, is to wipe out the dangerous Tokyo Manji Gang, which even the yakuza fear. Can Takemichi revive old relationships and stop running from life to ‘take revenge’ on his past and change the present to save Hinata?
Making of the film
A certain Shibuya tunnel appears as Sumida River Terrace under Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway in Sumida Ward. The team spray painted graffiti on the walls, put up flyers, scattered construction notices, and positioned old bicycles to create the perfect backdrop for a memorable scene... although we did have to huddle together for warmth to film summer scenes in the cold winter wind!
