Notification from the “Islands of Cinema, Tokyo – Special Exhibition of Movies and Islands”

Tokyo Film Commission is sharing the charm of Tokyo with the rest of Japan and the world through video content.

We are holding an exhibition called “Islands of Cinema, Tokyo – Special Exhibition of Movies and Islands” in order to share the activities of the Film Commission and encourage the acceptance of on-location filming requests.

Tokyo Location Box will conduct this exhibition to provide location information, supported productions, sightseeing PR for Tokyo’s islands, and offer special product. This exhibition will be held in coordination with the filming support services for on-location shooting on Tokyo’s remote islands such as Hachijojima Island, Niijima, and Shikinejima.

Admission is free of charge, so please stop by.

The event will run from June 24 (Monday) to 26 (Wednesday), 2019.

Open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Tokyo City i Performance Zone

(KITTE B1F, 2-7-2 Marunouchi, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo)

Admission is free of charge.

3. Content

(1) Display of location information, sample costumes and props used in “Bento Harassment” and “My Father, the Bride”

(2) Sightseeing PR for Tokyo’s islands and sale of their special products

(3) Information about Tokyo Film Commission and other filming support contacts in the Tokyo area

4. Talk show event

This event will feature Yoshiyuki Nakahata, producer of the movie “Bento Harassment,” which was filmed on Hachijojim;, and Momoko Fukuda, the director of the movie “My Father, the Bride,” which was filmed on Niijima and Shikinejima. The theme will be “filming a movie on an island.”
