In the first episode of the drama series “Hanasaki Mai Speaks Out” (2014), Mai Hanasaki (Anne) and Soma Ken (Takaya Kamikawa) have a meal at Kanda Matsuya in Chiyoda Ward. The long-standing soba restaurant, a favorite of popular novelist and gourmet Shotaro Ikenami, was established in 1884. During filming, actress Anne Watanabe also came to feast on the restaurant’s signature dish. Come taste the exquisite handmade noodles served at the well-known restaurant that prides itself in preserving the authentic taste of Edo soba.
