Long-Standing Soba Restaurant in Kanda Where Mai Hanasaki Had a Meal

In the first episode of the drama series “Hanasaki Mai Speaks Out” (2014), Mai Hanasaki (Anne) and Soma Ken (Takaya Kamikawa) have a meal at Kanda Matsuya in Chiyoda Ward. The long-standing soba restaurant, a favorite of popular novelist and gourmet Shotaro Ikenami, was established in 1884. During filming, actress Anne Watanabe also came to feast on the restaurant’s signature dish.
