Intersection in Nishi-Shinjuku in “Your Name.”

The area near the Shinjuku Keisatsu-sho Ura Intersection in Shinjuku Ward is featured in the movie “Your Name.” (2016). The area is lined with typical subcenter skyscrapers. Numerous landscape scenes characteristic of both country and urban landscapes are shown in “Your Name.” The intersection is strikingly and realistically depicted in a way unique to director Makoto Shinkai.
