Sumida City developed this area along the Old Nakagawa River for a trail. It has good view of Tokyo Sky Tree and 260 cherry trees along the river. It is the great cherry blossom viewing spot in the spring.\

Sumida city "Kirakira Tachibana shopping street" is the place which the main character Asahi (Tsumabuki Satoshi) was running by bicycle in the drama “Wakamonotachi 2014” (2014). This shopping street has lively downtown atmosphere and hold regular events like morning market, bargain fair, and tasting and walking. It was also selected as “Great Shopping Street 30” by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. You can feel the lively atmosphere even with a quick stroll.

Among others the exchanges between Tsuyoshi Azumi (Kuranosuke Sasaki) and Keijiro Mizusawa (Isao Hashizume) and the scene in episode 6 where Moto Kajitani (Jin Tanaka) is arrested were shot in this ''Sumida Park''. It's a nationally recognized cherry blossom viewing spot, and there is a fireworks festival every summer along the Sumida River. It's one of the tourist locations that represent Japan.

The park that Asahi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) and Satoru (Eita) visit a few times in the 2014 drama "Wakamono-tachi 2014", is this Kyojima minami Park. Tons of scenes, including the one where they talk while eating noodles, and the scene where they are both drunk, were taken in this park. The outer layers of the park with its long slides has a downtown vibe to it, and has a great view on the Tokyo Sky Tree.

In the movie "Onihei Hankachō" (1995) the name of the bridge "Futatsume Bashi" appears many times and is actaully the "Nino Bashi" located in Sumida. It is the bringe that crosses the Tategawa river and the second bridge from the Sumida River, and is around the area of Okuma's teahouse"Sasaya" and Shamo Nabeya "Gotetsu", both moust vist locations.
