RIHGA ROYAL HOTEL TOKYO

In the movie 'A Story of Yonosuke' (2013), Chiharu (Ayumi Ito) takes her younger brother Yonosuke (Kengo Kora) to a lounge, which is a garden lounge of this RIHGA ROYAL HOTEL TOKYO. The ceiling of the atrium is decorated with a gorgeous chandelier, and you can see the Okuma garden full of greenery over a large window. In the NHK drama"Ama-chan" (2013), the scene of GMT47 members Aki (Rena Nōnen), Hiroshi (Koike Teppei), and Abe-chan (Katagiri Hairi) distribute leaflets of Iwate product exhibition was shot at "Okachimachi panda Square". On the shooting day, an Iwate product exhibition and flags decorated the area, as such it was just like a product exhibition had been held in earnest. Yanagi Bridge

The place university professor Peter Kirk (Bill Pullman) jumps off at the beginning of the movie “The Grudge” (2004) is located in a corner of the Yanagi Bridge neighborhood in Taito Ward. From the nearby Yanagi Bridge, which is the first bridge from the mouth of the Kanda River, you can gaze downstream at the confluence of Kanda River and Sumida River. A daily flow of people cross the bridge that straddles the boundary between Chuo Ward and Taito Ward. Because the area was once a flourishing red-light district, embellishments in the shape of flower hairpins adorn the railings of the bridge. Yakatabune (Japanese-style houseboats) are usually moored alongside the river but can sometimes be seen coming and going under the bridge. This location still has the nostalgic atmosphere of Edo.

Ueno pedestrian deck

In the movie 'The Wolverine' (2013), the escape scene of Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Mariko (TAO) was shot here on the 'Ueno pedestrian deck'. On the day, a large scale of the shooting was held with about 400 staffs and extras. There are many people crossing the pedestrian bridge connecting across the Showa-dori in the east and west from the front of the Ueno station entrance.
