Climax Scene in “Harmonium”
【英】東京ロケ旅詳細
Sunniwa Bridge
Movie
Tama Western Area
The last scene of the movie “Harmonium” (2016) was filmed on Sunniwa Bridge in Nishitama District. Just as the Japanese title implies [the title literally translates as ‘Stand on the Abyss’], the location of the climax invites you to step into new territories. The bridge spans over the upper part of Tama River, between upstream Okutama and downstream Ome, and is surrounded by the deep green of the Okutama area. From the bridge, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the tapestry the valley and limpid stream create. Mountain paths along the valley as well as areas of the dry river bed are maintained as hiking and trekking courses. It’s a perfect spot to fully enjoy nature away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Along with your visit of the location, make sure to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the valley or a therapeutic walk in the forest.
